Around 25 companies, associations and public institutions are meeting Wednesday (October 17, 2018) at the Mobility Marketplace in Hamburg’s Chamber of Commerce to present innovative solutions, integrated approaches and sustainable vehicles. In addition to low-emission vehicles for passenger transport or e-scooters, various load wheel models will also be on display. They have been put through their paces in various fields of application as part of the MOVE load wheel test in real operations. Environment Senator Jens Kerstan will later tour the fair to learn more about the range of products on offer. This will be followed by the presentation of the “Air Quality Partner of the Year” award to a company that has implemented outstanding mobility measures.
Partnership for improved air quality
The Air Quality Partnership was established by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and industry throughout the city to improve the quality of air. Companies in the partnership have pledged their commitment to reducing traffic-related pollution in Hamburg. Participating companies are helped promote mobility that is as low in pollutants as possible. They receive information on corporate mobility management, successful practical examples are communicated and a network is created to exchange experiences.
MOVE Hamburg Annual Conference
The mobility marketplace on the topic of “Sustainable, integrated and sustainable mobility in Hamburg” is being held as part of the MOVE Hamburg Annual Conference. MOVE Hamburg, an initiative by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy, focuses on how mobility can be made more efficient, less polluting and more sustainable. Various practical applications will be presented in short presentations under the theme “What does sustainable mobility look like in Hamburg?” Clever Shuttle, DESY, S-Bahn-Hamburg and Stadtreinigung will report on their achievements so far, the knowledge gained and their plans.
