The second Startups@Reeperbahn Blind Dates will be held in so-called start-up love mobiles on September 19, 2018. Participants spend 15 minutes meeting famous, exciting people in the start-up industry and exchanging ideas. Their partners in discussion include investors, well-known entrepreneurs, corporate representatives or members of the press. The partners are Hamburg Invest and the Chamber of Commerce.
Start-ups from all over Europe stand to win a media budget of EUR 150,000 from DIE WELT daily and a trip to the 2019 South by Southwest Festival at Startups@Reeperbahn Pitch in Austin, Texas. For the sixth time, the private initiative Hamburg Startups is inviting young, innovative companies from all over Europe to present their ideas and business models in the Gruenspan club. After the Pitch Day, five start-ups will take to the stage in a bid to win over the jury and the audience of experts with their ideas.
The cool atmosphere during the Reeperbahn Festival with around 40,000 visitors creates the ideal environment for networking. Held annually since 2006 in venues across the Reeperbahn, the festival has morphed into one of the most important gatherings for Europe’s music and digital industry. It is supported by the City of Hamburg and the German Government Commissioner’s for Culture and Media. The Reeperbahn Festival gets underway from September 19-22, 2018 with France as national partner.
