The Marketing Club Hamburg e.V. is gearing up for its third Hamburg brand slam at Mindspace Hamburg on September 3, 2018. Then six start-ups including Carrypicker, Luv & Lee, Marmetube, SofaConcerts, Sport Medical and Vinnie & Grett have eight minutes to pitch their business models and win over the jury and the audience. The winner receives a one-week campaign on Digital City Light Posters in Hamburg and membership of the Marketing Club Hamburg and Hamburg@Work.
The competing start-ups range from logistics to food. Carrypicker aims to schedule the transport of goods faster and more precisely using high-performance computers and intelligent algorithms. The Hamburg-based food start-up Marmetube, on the other hand, sells jam out of a tube instead of a jar while the online platform SofaConcerts gives up-and-coming musicians and music fans an opportunity to organize their own small concerts.
Applause for profit
The forward-looking event by the Marketing Club Hamburg e.V. supports Hamburg’s start-up scene and focuses on continuity, substance, quality and sustainability. Each slam presentation lasts exactly eight minutes and is rated by the applause. The measured overall volume of the applause is crucial. The jury quizzes each contestant, gives advice and rates the pitch. This is followed by another round of applause. The measured volume of each round of applause decides the winner and runners-up.
