4th HAMMA Award honours outstanding marketing made in Hamburg

Eight finalists in three categories. Special prize for Hamburg brand campaigns. Prize-giving gala on 12 November at Emporio Tower.

With creativity, enthusiasm and passion, excellent marketing concepts and campaigns are being launched by visionary brand makers, energetic entrepreneurs, and innovative agencies based in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Outstanding creative minds for “Marketing Made in Hamburg” are recognised each year with the HAMMA Award. The city’s creative award was launched four years ago by Hamburger Abendblatt and Marketing Club Hamburg.

Creative prize in four categories

Awarded are annually granted to outstanding national and international campaigns, which have their origin in the metropolitan region of Hamburg, in four categories: Large Businesses, Small Business & SMEs, social marketing, and in the special category “Hamburg brand”. Members of the jury of eight include, inter alia, Sabine Rossbach, director NDR Hamburg ; Oliver Engels, director of marketing British American Tobacco; Thorsten Kausch, CEO Hamburg Marketing, and Hans-Joachim Kamp, chairman of the board of Philips Germany. The jury only names the winners in three categories. In the fourth category “Hamburg brand”, the readers of Hamburg Abendblattes decide on the winners.

Eight finalists in three categories

In total, eight finalists have been nominated for three categories of the award. In the large companies category, S-Bahn Hamburg, Philips and Hermes, the logistics subsidiary of the Otto Group, compete. The beverage manufacturer Elbler, the sports project Golf Lounge, and the services provider “City Strollers” have been named finalists of the small businesses category. Hamburg’s “Spendenparlament”, the sewing project “Made in Veddel” initiated by the Hamburg designer Sibilla Pavenstedt, and the Children’s Foundation hope for recognition of their social marketing activities.

Special prize for Hamburg brand

The special price “Hamburg brand” is an initiative of Hamburg Marketing that honours outstanding campaigns in the promotion of Hamburg each year. In 2014, the three candidates competing for the award are the Blue Port Hamburg by light artist Michael Batz, the Day of Legends as benefit event in football, and the top level domain .hamburg.
More than 400 guests are expected to attend the award gala on 12 November at Emporio Tower.
