Applications are now being accepted for the free Silicon Pauli Patrons Program (SPPP) underway from September 18-19, 2018. Start-ups have until the deadline of July 31, 2018 to submit their entries on www.siliconpauli.com. During the two-day intensity training, experienced professionals work closely with ambitious founders to show them how a real business can be developed from an idea.
Eight experts pass on tips
Eight patrons, who are experts in fields such as product design, strategy, marketing and finance, will be on hand to mentor the founders and give them valuable tips and concrete measures on how to advance their start-up. Speakers including Marcell Jansen, ex-national player and investor, and Jay Habib, founder of the shopping Shop.co start-up, will offer food for thought at a venue to be announced later.
Founded in 2016 by Nicolas Kittner, a product designer who had earlier failed to turn around an idea for his start-up, SPPP is a pro bono service for select start-ups – no offer of shares is expected. The initiators aim to boost Hamburg as a start-up location as well as networking and mutual learning. Silicon Pauli is backed by nextMedia.Hamburg and the Hamburger Sparkasse AG (Haspa).
The event is open to existing start-ups in the digital industry or those in the early stages of business. The company should have at least one prototype to work with during the programme.
