More than 750 Chief Information Officers (CIOs), IT decision-makers, IT providers and visitors are expected at the IT Strategy Days in Hamburg’s Grand Elysée Hotel from February 21-22, 2019. The 17th conference of this kind is being held under the theme “Driving the digital future”. Delegates will discuss strategies, requirements and management approaches to digital transformation. This year’s keynote speakers include the CIOs of SAP, Deutsche Bahn, Lufthansa Technik and Christian Lindner, Federal Chair of the FDP parliamentary party.
Pivotal role of CIO
Over 60 per cent of global value creation will have been digitalised by 2022, Lynn Thorenz, Director of Research & Consulting at International Data Corporation Germany, predicts. IT skills will be increasingly critical to growth and success. “Companies must now practically reinvent their IT environments to remain competitive in the digitized world,” Thorenz added.
