"My Kind of Future" seeks young professionals for entire metropolitan region

Young professionals are being sought as part of a campaign by Hamburg Marketing GmbH, Hamburg Invest and the Ministry of Economics. The first phase of the "My Kind of Future" campaign from September to December 2022 seeks to attract well-trained professionals from Germany, Austria and Denmark to the entire Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Talented young professionals in Hamburg-based companies act as testimonials as part of a marketing measures developed by HMG and Justfrank GmbH.

Emphasis is on finding talented professionals in renewable energies and key future technologies in close co-operation with the Renewably Energy Hamburg cluster. A wide-ranging social media campaign is underway on LinkedIn, Instagram, Tiktok, StudySmarter. Many more live events are being offered locally to boost Hamburg’s image as an attractive centre for professionals.

Creative minds needed across metropolitan region

Michael Westhagemann, Senator for Economics, remarked: “We need innovators for Hamburg and the metropolitan region so that the companies based here continue to develop new technologies, business models and firms here. That is the only way to secure the viability of our business location and its future.” Dr. Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Marketing GmbH, stressed: “Our goal is to make Hamburg known and attractive to young professionals as an innovative and liveable city. The social media campaign focuses on real and well-trained talents from Germany and abroad. It addresses Hamburg’s strengths as a centre of innovation and a forward-looking city.”

Cosmopolitan city - ideal for professionals

The "My Kind of Future" campaign is part of an initiative by Future Hamburg to position the region as a forward-looking centre for professionals. The city is presented as an "all-round unique package" and the career prospects in renewable energies and future technologies are outlined as well as a high standard of living coupled with cosmopolitanism, tolerance and freedom. Hamburg’s maritime flair makes it a gateway to the world and especially to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea regions.
