Europe’s largest club festival in St. Pauli is a mix of business meeting and music festival and has morphed into a key meeting place for the global music industry.

Focus on Australia

Emphasis is on genres ranging from classic to electro, as well as music history, vibrant live scenes, musicals and open-air concerts. International stars like Dermot Kennedy, Dope Lemon, Mighty Oaks, Feist and aspiring artists will perform at diverse venues including clubs, churches and galleries as well as the Elbphilharmonie’s Grand Hall. This year, Australia is partner country and will present live shows by 17 Australian acts, receptions, panels, networking sessions and the legendary, The Aussie BBQ showcase, at the Molotow.

Start-up Pitch and Music Award: The Anchor

Several other showcases will round off the Reeperbahn Festival as well as networking events and sessions in marketing, film and future or creative technology. Among the highlights are the Reeperbahn Startup Pitch and the The Anchor music contest for which a total of 73 acts entered. The eight most outstanding artists will vie for the favour of a top-class jury consisting of producers Bob Rock and Tony Visconti, the musicians Peaches, Kate Nash and the Beatsteaks singer Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß.
