hanseboat to Promote Olympic Games 2024

The 56th Hamburg International Boat Show will open at the Hamburg fair grounds and the city's hanseboot harbour on 31 October 2015

From 31 October to 8 November 2015, the 56th Hamburg International Boat Show and its 550 exhibitors will be showcasing a huge variety of boats small and lage,, international premieres, and a colourful fair programme.
Denmark and its sea of islands in the Baltic will be hanseboot’s first country partner, putting on an impressive presentation in Hall B6.

On occasion of Hamburg’s nomination as Germany’s only candidate in the global competition to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, also hanseboot will be waving the flag for the games. At the official opening, Hamburg’s Secretary of State Christoph Holstein, Kiel’s Lord Mayor Dr. Ulf Kämpfer and Paul Kohlhoff, member of the Kiel Yachgt Club and Germany’s Olympic sailing team, will be discussing the concept of the games to be held in Hamburg and Kiel.

Reception at Hamburg’s NRV Yacht Club

In the afternoon of 31 October, six well-known German offshore sailing athletes (f/m) will be promoting games in Hamburg and Kiel at Hamburg’s noble yacht club Norddeutscher Regatta Verein. Participants of the reception with members of the press will will include Kirsten Harmstorf, Boris Hermann, Tim Kröger, Jörg Riechers, Jochen Schümann and Robert Stanjek as sailors, who will welcome Hamburg’s Secretary of State Christoph Holstein, Kiel’s Lord Mayor Dr. Ulf Kämpfer, DSV President Dr. Andreas Lochbrunner.

During the nine day fair, the city’s civic body to promote the Hamburg bid, the Bewerbungsgesellschaft Hamburg 2024 GmbH, will be present with a stand in hall B03, upper level.

hanseboot, the 56th Hamburg International Boat Show, will be held in the B-halls of the Hamburg fair grounds and at the in-water hanseboot at the harbour pool of the City Sports Harbour at Baumwall, from 31 October to 8 November 2015. Northern Germany’s largest boat show appeals to professionals, leisure boaters and newcomers alike. Located close to the North European waters and major inland waterways. hanseboot presents new boats and yachts and provides information on trends and innovations in boating. hanseboot is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with extended opening on the Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Kids go free: children and teens up to 15 years old benefit from free admission. The Comeback Ticket costs 13 euro for the day (concessions: 11 euro), giving additional admission from 3 p.m. onwards on any other day of hanseboot.
