The Hamburg Großmarkt is opening its doors Saturday (September 8-9, 2018) to the general public under the motto “From the region – for the region”. The historic wholesale market grounds in Hammerbrook, which is normally open only to wholesalers and retailers, will have a feast of delights. Over 80 exhibitors and restaurants will be presenting regional products at the event being held in co-operation with “Der Feinschmecker” gourmet magazine. The celebrity chef Johann Lafer and Rimigio Poletto are also expected at the event.
Variety of delicacies
Visitors can taste all kinds of freshly prepared delicacies from unusual spreads, handmade chocolate, fish, meat and sausage specialities, cheese, oils, vinegars and spices to fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables. A vast selection of wines, beers, lemonades and coffee will also be on offer.
