Open Days to Celebrate 350-Year Jubilee

Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is having open days on 20-21 June 2015

For the first time in its 350-year history, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce will be having two open days. On 20-21 June 2015, Germany’s Chamber of Commerce will be opening its doors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a journey of discovery in the historic stock exchange building at Adolphsplatz. Entrepreneurs and interested citizens are invited to enjoy two days packed with information and entertainment.

The Work and Vision of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce

During the two days, visitors will be able to discover at close the work and vision of Hamburg’s Chamber of Commerce, with employees, partners and volunteers answering questions, ranging from education and economic issues to hot topics such as Hamburg’s Olympic bid.

Climbing the Career Ladder

At the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce’s premises, the diverse programme of the two days will offer ample opportunities to join in and take part. On the former trading floor, a climbing wall will be installed as a career climb to illustrate Hamburg’s s dual vocational training and various training opportunities.

Advice and Infotainment

Next to the career climb, visitors will be able to enjoy other exciting activities, ranging from a balloon course on education to brain teasers from the application tests of the Chamber of Commerce, a memory game, and a movie corner with films showcasing different professions. Visitors interested in self-employment can benefit from expert advice on start-ups and participate in a self-test to find out which type of entrepreneur they are. Last but not least, treasure hunts and other events will allow to learn about Hamburg’s urban development.
