Two events added to add art 2016 - aim is to make corporate art promotion perciptible

More than 18 firms and institutions will open theirs door for “add art” from November 17-20, 2016 to show exhibits in places not normally accessible to the public. Some of the participating firms already have works of art on show while other firms are exhibiting works by young artists at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. The event began in 2013 to promote young artists and attracted more than 1, 700 visitors last year.

Chamber of Commerce Innnovation Campus – artists in management

Five of 18 participating companies, BDO, Impulse Medien, K.D. Feddersen Holding, Schipper Company, vangard have selected 13 artists at HAW. The companies fund each exhibiting artist by buying a work or paying a fee. Visitors can purchase art works during a guided tour.

The Chamber of Commerce Hamburg will host an Innnovation Campus on November 19, 2016 and hold a panel discussion entitled “Artists in management? Artistic strategies as a factor in corporate success” (Künstler ins Management? Künstlerische Strategien als Beitrag zum Unternehmenserfolg“). A discussion moderated by Dr. Nikolaus Förster, Editor-in-Chief of impulse magazine, will include Armin Chodzinski, artist and consultant, Dirk Dobiéy, founder of “Age of Artists” and the artist Rupprecht Matthies, on the panel.

Collaborations between artists and companies

“add art Hamburg” aims to make collaborations between artists and companies perceptible and highlight the value of art for companies, collectors’ motives and the funding concepts. The event is organised by newskontor GmbH, the Chamber of Commerce Hamburg, (HAW) Hamburg and Schipper Company. newskontor GmbH is managing the project.
