ADC Festival 2015 to start

From today onwards, Germany's creative industries will showcase and compete at various locations in Hamburg's creative neighbourhood St. Pauli

By creating a special edition of Hamburg’s street magazine “Hinz&Kunzt”, the Art Directors Club Germany made its ADC Festival reach out to a far greater audience than ever before. This year’s annual meeting of Germany’s creative heads will commence on Thursday, 21 May 2015, in Hamburg’s creative neighbourhood St. Pauli.

Congress & Award Show

The ADC Festival will kick off with the ADC Congress, officially opened at 9 a.m. at Schmidts Tivoli. Focusing on “Creating the Digital Hype”, the congress will explore the mechanisms of viral campaigns. Insights will be delivered by international speakers such as Colleen DeCourcy (Global Executive Creative Director, Wieden + Kennedy), Rob Newlan (Head of EMEA, Facebook Creative Shop), Philipp Schröder (Country Director Germany and Austria, Tesla Motors), or Kaoru Sugano (Creative Director/Creative Technologist, Dentsu Inc.).

At 1 p.m., so-called “lunch labs” will allow participants intimate talks with representatives of Coca-Cola, Getty Images, and Google. The Awards Show and the prize-giving gala of the ADC nails, which are regarded as one of the industry’s finest prizes, will commence at 7 p.m. at Reeperbahn’s Stage Operettenhaus. Afterwards, ADC will be hosting its famous After Show Party at Hamburg’s former fish auction hall.

Creative Young Talents

Friday, 22 May 2015, is fully dedicated to young talents. At Millerntor Stadium and Schmidts Tivoli, the ADC’s Young Talent Day will offer events and infos for young graduates and professionals, students and pupils. From 9 a.m. onwards, a congress will junior creatives hands-on insight into digital communication and creation with experts talking about their projects.

Exhibition at Millerntor Stadium

Central venue for the largest meeting of the creative industries in the D-A-CH market will be Millerntor Stadium. At the home stadium of the legendary soccer club FC St. Pauli, an exhibition will showcase all entries submitted to the ADC contest in the past years. Open 21-23 May until 7 p.m., more than 7,000 exhibit from print, digital and audiovisual media, marketing, PR, design, and the new category “Out of any Box“ will be displayed.
