Elbphilharmonie now offering free online escape game

Put yourself in the shoes of the fictitious violionist, Pagano, who is due to perform at the Elbphilharmonie. The orchestra has arrived, but the violin has been damaged during pesky security checks at the airport. This is the scenario of the Elbphilharmonie's escape game entitled "Save the Concert". Players have to solve puzzles correctly, identify musical works and classify pictures before the concert can go ahead. Various photos and videos let players immerse themselves in the Elbphilharmonie's fascinating backstage area. The free browser game is available in both German and English and is suitable for teenagers and adults who love games and puzzles.

45 minute-game - discount on concert tickets

The escape game lasts about 45 minutes and can be played alone or in a team on a laptop or tablet. During the game, musicians get lost or something goes wrong with the technology in the concert hall. It also a includes a transcription function for people with hearing impairments. Players, who persevere and solve all the tasks successfully and after the fictitious concert has been performed, get a code for a 20 per cent discount on concert tickets. The Elbphilharmonie's escape game was created in collaboration with the Hamburg-based Pop Rocket Labs agency.
