Hamburg to host second Nordstil "Regional Order Days"

Retail trade to meet at largest consumer fair in northern Germany

This year’s second Nordstil Regional Order Days gets underway at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre from August 11-13, 2018 marking the end of the order season for the autumn, winter and Christmas business. Exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia are set to present their latest products in the home and garden, style and design, gifts and stationery as well as jewellery and fashion sectors. Some 19 speakers will give keynotes about the latest trends, innovations and design ideas.

Digitalisation and employee motivation

Experts will give talks about the latest trends and developments during workshops and presentations. Elmar Fedderke, Managing Director of Walgenbach GmbH & Co. KG., Maria Struck, a set designer, and Sascha Polzina, a photographer will highlight product staging and presentation in their talks. Emphasis will be on staging a product effectively to reach the right target group.

Burkhard Treude, a sales psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the retail trade, will explain how entrepreneurs can train and motivate their employees “on the job” and what constitutes a good sales force. His talk will be given under the motto “Sales personality – learned or innate” and “Owner and manager as sales coach”.

Inspiring shows

Visitors will also have an opportunity to try things out themselves and to gain new input and ideas for their own business during many special shows. Companies will present their businesses at the “Village” meeting point during the fair. Buyers can turn creative in the Nordstil area and build and work to their heart’s delight.

Young, up-and-coming designers, start-ups and small manufacturers are set to present imaginative new product ideas in Nordstil’s Northern Lights section. Trendy presentations will exemplify how new products can be presented in a store. Lifestyle bloggers will also have a stand called “BlogUps – Blog up your Business” and will present their favourite products live and give visitors and opportunity to network.
