Jungheinrich opened its new training centre located at the plant site in Norderstedt in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region after twelve months of construction. Investment volumes totalled approx. EUR 7.5 million. Covering nearly 8,000 square metres, the new centre consists of several components: a renovated older building, a converted hall and two newly built halls. The Jungheinrich Training Centre will serve as a central training venue for staff members and customers.
A four-storey administration building and hall complex boasts spacious room facilities for theoretical training, with directly adjoining practice areas. Workshops on electric and IC engine powered Jungheinrich industrial trucks will be conducted in separate hall areas. A 12-metre high hall will moreover enable practical exercises using logistic system equipment.
Practical Training and E-Learning
The training complex is complemented by a state-of-the-art conference storey which includes a production studio for e-learning concepts. In the words of Thomas C. Diwan, Head of the Training Centre, Jungheinrich AG: “The new training centre represents an attractive, state-of-the-art working environment and offers the ideal prerequisites for providing participants from Germany and abroad with up-to-the-minute training.
