Improved property service for internationals

Hamburg database for commercial real estate (HDB) now available in English

An English version of the Hamburg database for commercial real estate (HDB) has been launched to give international companies improved access to new office and commercial spaces, a press release said Monday. Dr Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Business Development Corporation (HWF), explained: “Each year, about 300 international companies locate to Hamburg, and established international players that are already here continue to expand. Many of these have told us that they would appreciate an English-language online portal for Hamburg that would provide an overview of available office and commercial spaces as well as new investment projects. We are now closing this gap, helping international companies to settle and grow, while at the same time creating an additional distribution channel for Hamburg’s real estate sector.”

HWF’s commercial property service

The HDB database is Hamburg’s main point of reference for commercial real estate and HWF is helping businesses find suitable properties. The website gives an overview of objects offered by owners, project developers and renowned Hamburg real estate agencies. HWF brokers suitable office, function, storage and commercial space, assists with relevant paperwork and supports businesses looking to locate and/or seeking developed or undeveloped sites.

Industrial estates and technology parks

Launched in April 2009, the HDB database presently has over 1,300 properties for sale and to rent with an expected 2,500 objects to be included by late 2017. The HDB site also offers information about 80 current development projects in Hamburg in the office and hotel category.
