The Hamburg-based Rebelle is launching on the U.S. market, the company told Hamburg News in an email. Customers there can now order designer fashion, bags, shoes and accessories via Rebelle and have them delivered to their homes. Similar to the European market, Rebelle is offering a wide range of services in the United States. International logistics partners such as UPS Express will ensure speedy delivery of the goods. And Rebelle guarantees U.S. customers a safe shopping experience as its team of experts checks every designer piece for authenticity and condition before it is sent to buyers.
“The U.S. is a very exciting market for Rebelle, which opens up great opportunities for us. For some time now, we have been experiencing a strong growth in traffic from the region. This is due mainly to the rising demand from U.S. customers for affordable luxury articles. They are also increasingly looking for individual items from European designer brands that are no longer available,” said Cécile Wickmann, founder and CEO of Rebelle, StyleRemains GmbH.
Further step towards internationalisation
Launched in 2013, Rebelle.com has brought together international buyers and sellers of luxury second-hand fashion. Meanwhile, 70 per cent of all orders placed in the online marketplace are cross-border transactions between buyers and sellers in different countries. Following the take-over of the Scandinavian competitor ‘The 2nd Edit’ in June 2018, the re-commerce company has now taken a further step towards internationalisation. By launching on the U.S. market, the company hopes to increase its reach several times over and make the online marketplace even more attractive for sellers.
