Social Travel Summit To Be Held In Hamburg Next Week

Current developments in online and social media marketing are focal themes of the convention held 21-22 April at EAST hotel

About 150 senior decision-makers in the travel industry, experts in online marketing, and 60 international travel bloggers be discussing current topics of social media and online marketing at the second Social Travel Summit at EAST hotel, with particular focus on developments in the field of blogger relations. The conference is organised by the media network iambassador with support from the German collective of travel bloggers “Reiseblogger-Kollektiv” and Traveldudes. Main partners are the German National Tourist Board (DZT) and the Hamburg Tourismus Board (HHT).

Expansion of Online Expertise

“The quality of participant confirms the excellent choice of topics and Hamburg’s great appeal. In its second year, the Social Travel Summit (STS) has been well established as a major industry event. We will use insights and experiences gained at the summit to further expand our online expertise and to increase the awareness and perception of Hamburg, and particularly in international online channels”, saysDietrich von Albedyll, CEO Hamburg Tourismus Board.

High Resonance In Social Networks

“With the Social Travel Summit, we developed a professional international platform to address today’s issues and developments in online and social media marketing, and specifically in regard to blogger relations”, says Petra Hedorfer, CEO DZT. Already the first Social Travel Summit, held in April 2014 in Leipzig, has achieved an outstandingly high resonance in social networks. The official hashtag of this year’s event is #STSHamburg.
