Hotels to open doors for residents of Hamburg in November

Book online to go behind hotel scenes

Hotels across Hamburg will open their doors to residents from November 8 to 11, 2019 at a cost of only EUR 50 per double room. Guests can choose to stay overnight, discover the latest culinary highlights or find out about their dream job during the event called “Your City. Your Hotels” with emphasis on “Your Opportunity”, “Your Pleasure” and “Your Home”. Around 300 offers at 40 participating hotels can be booked online from October 15, 2019.

Careers in hotel sector

Hotel rooms in the Pierdrei, the Side Design Hotel or the Mövenpick Hotel can become a temporary home for EUR 50 to EUR 90 per night including breakfast. Cooking courses and wellness offers are also available. The career events will highlight opportunities in the hotel sector e.g. in housekeeping and catering, event management, sales, e-commerce and the reception area.

Guest in your own city

All those interested must be domiciled in Hamburg. Some of the 300 online offers are available free of charge. “The goal is to remove obstacles and give every resident of Hamburg an opportunity to get to know hotels in their district,” said Marianna Just, Head of Marketing at Hamburg Tourism. “The people of Hamburg get a chance to feel like guests in their own city and to experience our hotels not simply as relaxing places for tourists.”

The campaign has been launched by the Dehoga Hotel- und Gaststättenverband e. V., Hamburg Tourismus GmbH, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the Promotionspool der Hamburger Hotellerie e. V. and the Tourismusverband Hamburg e.V. The four-day event is the largest event of its kind in the Hanseatic city, said the organisers.
