The Hamburg Tourism Board (HHT) has been awarded the fvw Online Marketing Award 2015 in recognition of its new digital travel guide “Hamburg Tourismus app”. In the contest by the renowned travel industry magazine, HHT competed against entries from all segments of the tourism and transport industry. Next to the Hamburg Tourism Board, the campaigns of the tour operators Thomas Cook and L’TUR made it to the top three.
Travel Planer, Tour Guide, Ticket Counter, And Ship Finder In One Tool
According to the panel composed of twelve representatives of the media and advertising industry, the Hamburg Tourism Board has set new standards in mobile marketing by its holistic approach. Christian Bärwind, Head of Travel Google Germany, praised the performance of the winners and presented the fvw award on behalf of the jury. “Hamburg Tourism has consistently aligned its app to the needs of users. Innovative services such as the Ship Finder provide the visitors of a wealth of content”, Bärwind said. The app comprises a travel planer, a tour guide, a ticket counters and a ship finder. Second Award Within A Week
The fvw Online Marketing Award is the second award granted to the Hamburg Tourism Board within a week. During the fair REISEN Hamburg, HHT has already been ranked second in the in the ADAC Tourism Award contest for its central event database.
