The latest luxury hotel in Hamburg “The Fontenay” finally opened it’s doors Monday (March 19, 2018) after a few delays. Guests can expect a classic, but modern design with 130 rooms and suites, restaurants and bars with fantastic vistas, a 1,000-square metre spa and panorama pool that is likely to set new standards in the hotel sector. Guests can enjoy a contemporary, cosmopolitan welcome.
Panorama views of Hamburg
Speaking at the opening, the owner Klaus-Michael Kühne said: “I feel closely linked to my homecity of Hamburg and want to help make the Hanseatic city even more attractive with this solitaire. My wish is for ‘The Fontenay’ to excite both the people of Hamburg and guests from Germany and that it becomes internationally resplendent.” The wide variety of “different culinary concepts” should make the hotel a jewel in Hamburg. The new hotel features a relaxing garden restaurant called “Parkview” with a terrace and views of the Lake Alster. Guests can also opt for fine dining in the “Lakeside” restaurant while the “Fontenay Bar” offers panorama views of the city.
Luxury on Lake Alster
“The Fontenay“ hotel is akin to a city resort on the shores of the Outer Alster and in the middle of a park. “Our staff are delighted that the hotel is now full of life. We want to embody natural, authentic and warm hospitality. The wishes of every guest will be catered to individually here and guests will feel good. That is the highest form of hospitality,” said Thies Sponholz, Director of The Fontenay.
