The Hamburg Renewable Energies Cluster (EEHH) and a jury of business and science representatives are set to present the German Renewables Award on September 28, 2018 in the Intercity Hotel at Dammtor. The award will be presented in the categories “Product innovation of the Year”, “Student Thesis of the Year”, “Project of the Year” and “Lifetime Achievement”. A new category “Journalistic Prize” will be included for the first time. The award is in recognition of the renewables sector’s inventiveness.
The EEHH Cluster has been able to secure the services of former Stern editor-in-chief Klaus Liedtke as juror for the new fifth category, the Journalistic Prize. This aims to recognize the work of journalists who have distinguished themselves by balanced, easily understood reporting on issues linked to the transition to renewables. The prize is worth EUR 2,000. The focus will be on the prize-winners in all five categories at the gala event, which will be presented by free TV presenter Andrea Thilo.
