Around 4,000 experts saw mainly technical potential and excellent international prospects in the onshore and offshore wind energy sector, according to the latest trend:index (WEtix). The survey is carried out every six months by WindEnergy Hamburg, the world’s leading trade fair for on and offshore wind energy, in co-operation with wind:research.
High expectations on digitalisation
Digitalisation is also opening up new potential for the wind industry. The interviewees had particularly high hopes for the offshore sector and expect cost savings through new technologies among others. Those interviewed rated the global market significantly better than last year. The conditions in the Asia and North American wind sectors are increasingly viewed positively.
Hamburg as wind capital
As host of WindEnergy, Hamburg brings together the global market with the entire value chain. More than 1,400 exhibitors from all over the world will be presenting their new products and projects in Hamburg’s exhibition halls from September 22-25, 2019.
