The second edition of Wind Energy Hamburg will open its doors from September 27-30 in Hamburg’s fairgrounds and will again host decision-makers in the global energy business. WindEnergy Hamburg covers the whole value chain of both the onshore and offshore wind industry and will have an extra exhibition hall this year. Around 1,200 exhibitors are expected to present their innovations on approximately 65,000 square metres in nine exhibition halls. The German Minister of Economics, Sigmar Gabriel, who is also the patron, will open the fair.
The key international WindEurope Summit will be held parallel from September 27-29, 2016 in the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) for the first time making Hamburg the global centre of wind energy.
Envision among exhibitors
Commenting on the upcoming fair, Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board of Hamburg Messe and Congress, said: “WindEnergy Hamburg offers the wind sector an optimal platform for preparing the ground for concrete transactions. Presenting their latest developments, products and services and new business models in Germany’s leading technology location plays an important role. Crucial contacts are made in new industrial sectors and the course is set the course for further development in the wind sector.”
Key players like Enercon, Gamesa, GE, Nordex, Senvion, Siemens Wind Power and Vestas have already announced their attendance. New exhibitors from Asia include Envision, which has so far been operating mainly on the Chinese market. Denmark, Turkey, China, Argentina, U.S.A and Canada will all have national pavilions at the fair
