And the technology could, for instance, replace the largely manual or paper-based systems in the supply chain sector and boost digitalisation across the industry. Blockchain technology is hailed as transparent, forgery-proof and decentralized. Hamburg-based companies and initiatives such as Hapag-Lloyd and the Digital Hub Logistics are also aware of this potential. While the first part of our blockchain series focused on the energy sector, we now turn to concrete applications and pilot projects in the logistics sector.
