Personal contacts are becoming more and more important as the world goes digital. Innovative tech events that actively involve participants and promote business matchmaking are benefitting from this trend. Europe’s fastest-growing conference, the OMR Festival recently attracted more than 50,000 participants to Hamburg followed by the Hamburg Innovation Summit, TedxHamburg and Digital Kindergarten. The next conferences in the line-up are “Mind the Progress” and the 12hrs.us Conference – Society Disrupted, which will premiere from June 21-22, 2019 at the Square HSB Innovation Hub as a 12-hour event.
Launched by Oliver Rößling in 2013 as 12min.me, each speaker has precisely 12 minutes to pitch their business model, according to the golden rule. Meanwhile, the event, which originated in Hamburg, is held in around 30 cities in six countries. In an interview with Hamburg News, Rößling talks about his vision for the upcoming 12hrs.us Conference with emphasis on digitisation and his love of the number 12.
