Hamburg is the world’s third largest musical city after New York and London. Now, Cirque du Soleil and Stage Entertainment are working on its latest production called “Paramour” in their first ever collaboration. From April 14, 40 artists including 22 acrobats will be bringing artistry onto the stage as the fourth narrative dimension alongside dance, singing and acting. If “Paramour” is a hit, Hamburg should quite earn a profit. A spokesman for Stage Entertainment, Stephan Jaekel, said: “Our four big musicals lead to an external customer added value of more than EUR 600 million per annum.” This includes income earned by Hamburg hotels, restaurants, the retail trade and other cultural institutions.
