The private initiative Hamburg Startups launched the national database, StartupSpot Female Founders, with at least one woman as a founding member in spring 2018. Meanwhile, the database counts almost 400 start-ups, 16 per cent of which are in the tech industry, including Dr. Diana Knodel, founder of the non-profit start-up App Camp. Eight years ago, the Baden-Württemberg native settled in Hamburg, where she worked as a product manager for Xing. Today, she is aiming to raise the visibility of female founders as an envoy for the StartupSpot Female Founder. In an interview with Hamburg News, she talks about her vision, milestones and the opportunity to help shape a digital world.
The interview and other daily business news reports can be found on the bilingual web site Hamburg News in German and English. If you like our newsletter, please recommend it to new readers.
