Germany has topped the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index (LPI) of 160 countries in logistics this year after similar positions in 2014 and 2016. Published in late July, Germany is followed by Sweden, Belgium and Austria on the index. The top ten also includes Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Britain, Denmark and Finland. Hamburg has contributed to this success through funding programmes, innovations and by expanding infrastructure.
