Small music companies often undertake financial risks when promoting music artists. For this reason, since 2010, Hamburg’s Cultural Authority has been supporting small music labels with grants between EUR 3,000 to EUR 10,000 as part of unique programme in Germany. The work with varied and relatively unknown artists becomes a breeding ground for musical diversity in a city.
