Former German chancellor Gerhard Schroder, Honorary Chairman, just opened the summit. The high-profile guests include Liu Yandong, Vice-Premier of the People’s Republic of China, Jyrki Katainen, Vice President of the European Commission and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The Hamburg summit is dedicated to an open dialogue between Europe and China and improving economic relations.
