"Zeit-Wissen" prize seeking pioneers of sustainable development

Entries from initiatives, educational institutions and start-ups welcome by deadline August 31

A deadline to enter the ZEIT WISSEN “Mut zur Nachhaltigkeit” prize of August 31, 2017 has been announced. The prize presented by the ZEIT WISSEN magazine, the education initiative “Mut zur Nachhaltigkeit”, entrepreneuer Dr. August Oetker and the Hamburg-based Aurubis AG honours people, initiatives, educational institutions, firms and start-ups that make contributions to sustainable development. Awarded since 2013, the prize will be presented during the “ZEIT Wissen” Sustainability Congress in March 2018. A jury of experts and representatives of science, commerce, society and media accompany the nomination process.

Special prize

Entrants should aim to show how the gap between knowledge and action in the debate on environmental and social future can be filled. The winning projects may set the tone for sustainability initiatives in science and economy. The prize is awarded in the categories “Knowledge”, “Action” and “Take Off”. The Aurubis AG will present a special, additional prize in the “Take Off” category” to outstanding projects with ecological, societal and social benefits for sustainable developments.
