The Young Jobs Hamburg (YOJO), managed by Hamburg Invest, is now providing services to companies in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. The jobs portal has strong partners and experts including Süderelbe AG, the Chamber of Commerce Lüneburg-Wolfsburg in the southern metropolitan region and in the districts of Stade, Harburg, Lüneburg and Lüchow-Dannenberg. YOJO has been revamped to highlight the so-called “Perspektivenfinder” which allows jobseekers to search for vacancies, sectors and companies.
Skilled workers for southern metropolitan region
Dr. Jürgen Glaser, Authorized Officer and Head of Cluster Development at Süderelbe AG, said: “We are delighted to be co-operating with Hamburg Invest and are confident that we will find many skilled workers for companies in the southern metropolitan region and the portal with our new marketing approach. YOJO gives us an opportunity to present the districts of Stade, Harburg, Lüneburg and Lüchow-Dannenberg as attractive economic centres. As part of our project ‘Marketing Skilled Workers in the southern Hamburg Metropolitan Region’ launched early this year, we are seeking skilled workers and helping companies use the YOJO portal to address them directly.“
Dr. Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Invest, said: “We are delighted by the co-operation with Süderelbe AG. Technical innovations, developing service markets and an increasingly global division of work are leading to growing demand for well-trained skilled workers.” Highly qualified skilled workers are key to regional competitiveness – for productivity and prosperity. The Hamburg Metropolitan Region offers an excellent standard of living and career opportunities.
