Visual Trends at Social Media Week
What role do pictures play in social media? Hamburg Marketing GmbH is addressing this issue as partner to Social Media Week Hamburg (SMWHH) which starts next week
The fifth edition of Germany’s largest, free networking conference for professional and private social media users will focus on technology and digitalisation. Around 150 events with 250 speakers are planned in various places across the city. As a co-operating partner, Hamburg Marketing GmbH is presenting the focal theme of Visual Trends. Together with SMWHH, it is organising the panel What makes picture content successful?“ on February 23, on the main stage in the Markthalle.
Hamburg Marketing and SMWHH are also launching #TwinningTime to encourage users to imitate someone else’s photo and to upload it. Similar pictures have been on social media for longer. The aim of this action, which will be announced on posters throughout the city, is to offer visitors to the conference a platform for international networking. The twin photos will be shown on screens across the city and can be retrieved on www.twinningtime.com. Deutsche Bahn is donating the prizes as promotional partner to „#TwinningTime. As host of the conference, Hamburg will be joined by Jakarta, Lagos and New York who are also holding a Social Media Week this month.
