TÜV Nord is lending its support to the “Platform Learning Systems” set up by the German Ministry of Education and Research in the Health, Medical Technology and Nursing work group, a press release said Tuesday (June 5, 2018). This rapidly developing field requires learning systems for people and society and that scrutinise legal, ethical and security issues and recommend appropriate measures, when required.
Sandra Gerhartz, Managing Director of TÜV Nord CERT, said: “We are delighted that TÜV Nord now has an opportunity to contribute its expertise at federal level. We can provide valuable input as a digital company and an expert in security.” The TÜV Nord Group focuses on the digital future. Independent engineers and IT security experts offer solutions for security, quality and a good competitive position. Companies in more than 70 countries are helped meet their responsibility for people, technology and the environment.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has a far greater impact on everyday life more than most people realize. Learning systems i.e. machines, robots or software systems equipped with AI and fed by data, already support people in medicine for instance. Artificial intelligence can allow surgeons to work with millimetre precision and to diagnose diseases.
