Next Media Accelerator officially started as Startup Funding Scheme

Applications from European startups welcome. Funding scheme to run for six months

Supported by the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the German press agency dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH launched the next media accelerator. Media startups creating new information experiences and tools are invited to apply for the six-month funding scheme. The programme is financed by dpa and investors from the media industry, including publishers of magazines and newspapers, advertising agencies, and entertainment companies

Application Period to close in Mid-July

Twice a year, the accelerator will accompany five startups for six months. The teams will receive funds of up to 50,000 euro and offices at betahaus Hamburg in the trendy neighbourhood of Schanzenviertel. Startups wishing to qualify should be active in media-related areas such as content and advertising, or related services and solutions. Application for the first programme to start on 1 August 2015 are welcome untiil 15 July 2015.

Training and Advisory Services

The next media accelerator will accompany all winning startups with intense training and advice, and support them in organising the follow-up funding. In addition, experts will help the founders as a mentors and sparring partners with their expertise, ranging from technological support to legal advice.
