The upcoming 2016 will highlight digitalisation as both a crucial technological and team-building effort for success. Keynote speakers at the event from September 7-9, 2016 include Olaf Scholz, Mayor of Hamburg, Frank Horch, Senator for Economics, Sascha Lobo, journalist, and Heiner Brand, winner of the world handball championship. Last year, over 2,000 visitors attended some 250 talks and addresses by 300 keynote speakers. Workshops and panel discussions all around digital topics are on this year’s agenda at Hamburg’s Kulturzentrum Kampnagel.

Experts exchange ideas on key IT topics

The highlights of the three-day event include the fach.konferenz or conference of professionals to which 20 partner companies from various sectors will contribute knowledge and know-how for successful digitalisation. Another event called the experten.werkstatt or experts workshop will give senior developers and architects a chance to exchange views on IT in small groups.

Silicon Valley, Shenzhen and the Hamburg Metropolitan Region

The five theme parks (themen.parks) at consist of stands, improvised talks and panel discussions. International exhibitors will outline the cross-sector opportunities offered by digitalisation. International Day on September 8 aims to link up Silicon Valley and China’s Shenzhen region, as global centres of the value added chain, with Hamburg. The China Business Center Hamburg (CBCH), the American Club of Hamburg and the HWF Hamburg Business Development Corporation are partners of the event.
