Otto Group Media and Ströer to form German data alliance

OS Data Solutions to bundle Otto Group and Ströer data

Otto Group Media and Ströer media are establishing OS Data Solutions bundling more than 50 million sets of data, according to a press release on May 6, 2019. The joint venture will create one of the largest German data pools for e-commerce, login and behaviour data pending the approval of competition authorities.

Alternative to U.S. rivals

Torsten Ahlers, Managing Director of Otto Group Media, said: “The largest German, quality data pool merges Otto Group’s data and Ströer’s large digital range and creates an excellent alternative to U.S. rivals.” Apart from pooling data, the joint venture foresees expanded intelligent data management and developing and marketing new products.

Data driven advertising meets outdoor advertisers

Founded in May 2015, Otto Group Media GmbH specializes in data driven advertising and focuses on user-based marketing. The company also manages advertising space on the Otto Group platforms and on partner sites. Ströer SE & Co. KGaA is a leading German outdoor advertiser and offers advertisers individualized, fully integrated sales and marketing solutions. The company employs around 13,000 staff in more than 100 branches.
