The “BUNDESWEHR MALI” campaign by the German Ministry of Defence and CROSSMEDIA/Castenow scooped two awards Monday (December 3, 2018) at the 13th NEPTUN Crossmedia Awards in Hamburg’s Kehrwieder Theatre. “Mali” won over the expert jury and won the live pitch in front of a 300-strong audience.
NEPTUN Talents Award
The NEPTUN Talents Award for outstanding young talents and the NEPTUN Mobile Award, which honours the extraordinary use of mobile communication, were also presented at the ceremony. Jan-Philip Beutin from the Hamburg Institute of Design came first with his “Wavegarden” campaign. Second and third prize went to the Miami Ad School. The Initiative Media won a special prize for the “Best Use of Mobile” for the “Epic Summer Road to Boateng” campaign for JBL.
Commenting on the NEPTUN Talent Award, Reinhard Patzschke, president of the jury and managing director of Grabarz & Partner, said: “The upcoming generation consists of digital natives in the truest sense of the word and who approach modern communication in the same way.” Renowned speakers also met at the NEPTUN Day Crossmedia Congress in the run-up to the show and focusing on present crossmedia campaigns, the future of cross media and related issues.
