Hamburg's Frischepost start-up collaborating with Budnikowsky

Customers can soon collect goods from branches all over Hamburg

Customers of Frischepost online supermarket can collect their fresh goods e.g. apples, eggs, pastries, meat, fruit juices, salad dressings and soups from branches of Budnikowsky in future, the start-up said Wednesday. So far, Frischepost has delivered fresh, locally grown goods from producers e.g. in Alten Land or Vier Marschlande straight to their customers’ homes four days per week.

Deliveries in reusable packages aboard electric vehicles

Founded in 2015, Frischepost places great emphasis on transparency, fresh goods and sustainability. The producer of each product is presented on their web page. The food is delivered straight from farms in reusable packaging aboard electric vehicles.

Number of branches to grow

Juliane Eichblatt and Eva Neugebauer, founders of Frischepost, said the measure was introduced in early May and the number of co-operating Budnikowsky branches is set to rise in the coming weeks. Then customers can pick up their goods from stores all over Hamburg.

Online and stationary trade go together in the long-term, Frischepost said. Consumers save time by ordering online and can choose between deliveries to their homes or to collecting stations in their locality.
