Small, local music labels based in Hamburg can now apply for grants of EUR 3,000 to EUR 10,000, the senate announced Thursday (August 31, 2017). The funds will help such companies limit the risks of investing in small, as yet unknown musicians and gives the artists a chance to make a name for themselves. The grants are open to both fledgling music companies and established labels. A panel of eight representatives will select the recipients in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture and Media.
Diverse support possible
Funds will be provided for promising, well-planned projects including the production processes – recording, mix and music mastering as well as marketing and advertising. Those interested have until October 10, 2017 to submit their application to the Ministry of Culture and Media.
