Hamburg Has The Country's Best Young Creatives

ADV presents its first creative ranking for colleges and universities. Hamburg, Thuringia, and North Rhine-Westphalia are Germany's top three creative states

Next to its annual creative ranking, the Art Directors Club Germany (ADC) e. V. published its first ranking of colleges and universities with creative programmes. The new ranking is based on the last three years of the ADC Newcomer Competition for students, graduates, and young professionals in Germany. Leading the first “ADC creative ranking for colleges and universities” is Hamburg. Students and graduates of universities and colleges at home in Hamburg have received most of the awards. This makes the city the number one of young creative excellence”, ADC announced on a press conference held on Tuesday, 31 March 2015.

Ranking To Provide Guidance

“We wanted to know: which are the universities of which state to train the country’s best young creative talents,” said Stephan Vogel, president of ADC. “In the ranking, the opinions of leaders of the creative industries are and professionals who know exactly the needs of the industry are being reflected. We thus give universities, students and employers guidance and orientation. Dedicated professors and universities require their students to take part in competitions. By doing so, young creatives can draw attention to their quality and have a good start in their careers. “

Top Three: Hamburg, Thuringia, and North Rhine-Westphalia

The leader of the ADC university rankings is the Hamburg Miami Ad School Europe GmbH. Ranked second and third after Hamburg are the states of Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia. The ADC university ranking takes into accountGerman colleges and universities represented in the years 2012 to 2014 by works submitted from students to the ADC competitions. In the scoring, all winning works were included: The main prizes ADC Junior of the Year, ADC Student of the Year and ADC Talent of the Year were evaluated with ten points, gold nails with six points, silver nails with four points, bronze nails with two points and awards with one point.
