16 innovative ideas from the media, AI, mobility and health

Startups@Reeperbahn Pitch with new ideas: Pitch Day is offering 16 startups the opportunity to show their product to a jury and potential investors

The event is set for September 19: Hamburg Startups, a private initiative, is issuing invitations to the Startups@Reeperbahn Pitch, where the top five startups chosen from 200 applications from around the world will meet for a showdown. Cargonexx and NautilusLog from Hamburg, Leapsome from Berlin, Coldplasmatech from Greifswald and getINNOtized from Munich will compete at this the sixth edition of the event. The prizes include a WELT media budget totalling 150,000 euros and a trip to the leading digital and creative trade fair South by Southwest in Texas.

This year a preliminary programme, Pitch Day, will precede the event. Sixteen young entrepreneurs will get the chance to present their case on the startup stage in the Grünspan music club. A 4×4 format will be used, with four startups competing in four categories: Media, AI, Mobility and Health. The Grünspan will turn itself into a Pitch stage from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Four main themes, each with four startups

The proceedings will go off as follows: In the theme blocks, each lasting an hour, four startups in each case will put forward their business model – in seven minutes. While there is no prize here, there will be valuable feedback from a jury of three experts. And who knows – perhaps there’s a potential investor among the audience.
