Try an exploratory tour of the Elbphilharmonie this summer

Elbphilharmonie offering tours of concert hall
30 June 2020
Foyer of the Elbphilharmonie's Grand Hall

The Elbphilharmonie is offering self-guided tours of the concert hall from July 3 to August 9, 2020. Although the Plaza reopened in May, corona has forced the cancellation of both concerts and guided tours of the landmark until now.

From Plaza to foyers and concert halls

The tour of the Elbphilharmonie gives visitors an opportunity to explore the concert hall themselves. Visitors are guided along a marked path from the Plaza via the foyer and the Kleinen Saal to the Grand Hall at the heart of the Elbphilharmonie. Flyers handed out at the entrance contain information about the foyers, the halls, the loggias and the building's spectacular facade. Visitors can use a mobile phone, headphones and QR-codes to watch videos in which the guides reveal interesting details about the building. The tour takes about one hour and is not barrier-free.

Tickets available online

The concert halls are open during the week from 3 to 9 pm and from 11 to 9 pm on weekends. The last admission slot starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets cost EUR 9 and can be purchased a maximum of two weeks in advance online or at the Elbphilharmonie Visitor Centre (Am Kaiserkai 62). Tickets for children under 6 years of age are free, but must be booked in advance to comply with the corona capacity limit. Admission commences within 30 minutes of the booked timeslot. A distance of at least 1.5 metres to other guests must be kept at all times.
