Sky Express now flying to Greece from Hamburg Airport

Two weekly connections amid rising demand for Greek destinations

The Greek airline, Sky Express, is now operating flights from Hamburg Airport to Heraklion, the capital of Crete, on Tuesdays and Sundays coinciding with the start of summer holidays in north Germany. 

Greece becoming trendy destination

"Passenger demand for Greek destinations in very high at present. Greece is trendy," said Dirk Behrens, Head of Aviation at Hamburg Airport. Founded in 2015, Sky Express is the fastest growing Greek airline and can carry up to 180 passengers on the Hamburg-Heraklion route. "For Sky Express, the connection from Crete to Hamburg is a strategic decision to highlight its importance in the European route network and to create opportunities for co-operation and development between the two destinations," said Theodoros Krokidas, President of Board of Directors of Sky Express.
