New Video Series: “Future Hamburg Talk“ meets Philipp Westermeyer
These movers and shakers are passionate about Hamburg as well as boosting the city with their ideas and innovations. Our four-part series of video interviews highlights their objectives, plans, expectations and hopes. We begin with Philipp Westermeyer, CEO of the annual Online Marketing Rockstars Festival, who talks to Dr. Uve Samuels, Managing Director of the Square Innovation Hub, on behalf of Hamburg News. Their talk delves into Westermeyer’s fondness for TV towers, his personal lessons from the corona crisis, why innovations do not always hinge on change and his dislike of being the potential “King of Hamburg”.
Philipp Westermeyer was born in 1979 and studied Media Management at the Hamburg Media School (HMS). After a stint as assistant to the Executive Board at Bertelsmann AG, Westermeyer became an investment manager at Gruner + Jahr. In 2009, he founded the performance service provider Adyard with Tobias Schlottke and Christian Müller. This was followed two years later by Metrigo and Ramp 106 GmbH in 2013 which organizes the OMR festival every year.
