Over 1,000 model trains travel through the Miniatur Wunderland on a 1,500 square metre space. Opened in 2022, its latest attraction is Yullbe Wunderland. Visitors literally get a bird's eye view of Miniatur Wunderland thanks to an immersive virtual reality world set up with Europa-Park Rust.
German National Tourist Board publishes Top 100 ranking
Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg remains Germany's most popular tourist attraction in Germany, according to a survey by the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). Around 15,000 visitors from 30 countries took part in the survey between December 2021 and June 2022. The MiWuLa tops the list of the top 100 German attractions for foreign tourists. The Europa Park amusement park in Rust, Baden, came second followed by the city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in third place.

Hamburg as top travel destination
Visitors to www.germany.travel enter their favourite sights, leisure facilities, events, cultural sites or natural landscapes in a special section and the information is used by the German National Tourist Board (DZT) for the ranking. Hamburg ranked fourth in the "Cities" category while the Elbphilharmonie came fourth in the "Urban Highlights".
