Female StartAperitivo ends year with Grand Female Finale
The Hamburg Investors Network (HIN) is to host the free Grand Female Finale in the Betahaus in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel on (Wednesday) December 7, 2022 from 5 pm. Female founders will present their business ideas and initiatives to round off a successful 2022. The Female StartAperitivo was expanded by the Female StartAperitivo Academy this year and a cross-state competition as part of the senate's efforts to boost women entrepreneurs.
Keynote, panels and pitches
HIN's agenda features several talks on stage, pitches and discussion rounds and the so-called "Hall of Femmes" with various exhibition booths. After a welcome speech by the initiators Christoph Steckhan, Dr. Kirsten Mikkelsen and Heidrun Twesten, the founder of the web3 network Wom3n Dao Dajana Eder, will give a keynote speech. Female founders will then pitch their business ideas followed by start-ups' pitches and a discussion round featuring business representatives and female founders.
Review and outlook
Two Hamburg-based women were among the runners-up in this year's Female StartAperitivo competition. 5pectre Optix won over the audience with the “world’s "smallest broadband spectrometer" while Tœrn had pitched a sustainable logistics solutions. The start-ups were among eight female finalists from north Germany in the scheme, launched by the City of Hamburg. The event is to become a national competition in 2023 and the finals will be staged in Hamburg. The Female StartAperitivo Academy held workshops and master classes all over Hamburg in autumn. The Grand Female Finale is organized by the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB), the IFB Innovationsstarter and the Ministry for Economics and Innovation.
