Music Worx backing founders in music and technology
Applications are now being accepted online for Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft's Music Worx incubator especially for founders at the interface of music and technology. Four teams from across Europe will be admitted to the scheme and can obtain grants, individual training and workshops to bring their business ideas to market maturity. The deadline for applications ends on June 19, 2023.
Grants of EUR 5,000 per team
A jury of experts will select the winning teams. Grants of up to EUR 5,000 per team are available to develop the business idea. A monthly living allowance of EUR 1,500 is provided for the duration of the scheme. The participants also receive extensive coaching and mentoring and will spend September to November 2023 working on their ideas in training sessions and workshops. Emphasis is on team building, product strategy as well as marketing and communication. The teams will pitch their business ideas to industry experts in a closing event. The contestants stand to win a jury and audience award.
New technologies and platforms for collaborative work won in 2022
Apart from assistance during the incubator, Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft also links the teams up to its contacts and provides follow-up funding, if needed. The recipient does not have to cede company shares and the idea remains the property of the participants. Teams in last year's Incubator included the Berlin-based Aestival which has created a platform for organizers of live events. Cosonify in Karlsruhe brings musicians together with a co-working tool. Connactz in Bavaria has developed a digital, AI-based music manager for musicians. In Tempo from Kiev has developed an app that replays music to alleviate a user's fears and anxieties.
